Abstract:Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy（CIPN）is a common dose-limiting toxic reaction during tumor chemotherapy. Its clinical manifestations mostly include paresthesia, stabbing pain, numbness and fatigue in the extremities, and motor dysfunction may occur in severe cases. This complication not only significantly reduces patients?? quality of life, but also often forces the reduction of chemotherapy doses or interruption of treatment, thereby affecting the overall anti-tumor efficacy. At present, modern medicine still lacks specific therapeutic approaches for CIPN. Clinical treatment mainly focuses on neurotrophic support and symptomatic analgesia, with limited overall efficacy and a high risk of adverse reactions following long-term medication. Based on the holistic concept and treatment based on syndrome differentiation, Chinese medicine can intervene in the disease progression through multi-target and multi-pathway mechanisms, showing unique advantages in relieving the clinical symptoms of CIPN, improving neurological function and reducing the incidence of toxic reactions. In recent years, clinical and basic research on the prevention and treatment of CIPN with Chinese medicine have become increasingly in-depth, with continuous accumulation of evidence-based medical data. This paper systematically reviews the research progress in this field in recent years, summarizes and analyzes emphatically the understanding of Chinese medicine etiology and pathogenesis, clinical treatment Methods（including oral medication, external therapy, acupuncture and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine）as well as their action mechanisms, and discusses the existing problems incurrent research and future development directions, so as to provide references for the standardized prevention and treatment of CIPN with traditional Chinese medicine.
