Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effects of self-made low-elastic cotton ball column combined ear correction system on correction of congenital conchal crus in infants. Methods A retrospective study was conducted to select 38 infants（55 ears）with congenital conchal crus ear deformity who received non-invasive ear correction in in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from November 2021 to August 2023. They were grouped according to different treatment plans，18 cases（27 ears）treated with the normal EarWell Infant Ear Correction System were included in the control group，and 20 cases（28 ears）of infants treated with self - made low - elastic cotton ball column combined with EarWell Infant Ear Correction System were included in the study group. The marked effectiveness rate and incidence of pressure ulcer were analyzed. Results The remarkable response rate of the study group was 96.43%，higher than that of the control group（44.44%），with a statistically significant difference（χ2=18.007，P <0.01）. The incidence rate of pressure ulcer in the study group was 7.14%，lower than that of the control group（33.33%），with a statistically significant difference（χ2=5.893，P=0.015）. Conclusion Self -made low -elastic cotton ball column combined with EarWell Ear Correction System has a significant clinical effect on correction of infant conchal crus ear deformity. It is a safe and effective treatment.
